Learn, Connect: What Islands Do Well.

Since 1987 the Josias River Homestead has provided solutions to challenges confronted by innovative businesses, professional firms, marketing and communication companies, as well as educational and non-profit institutions. Technology, research, writing and editing, oral and graphic presentations, assessment and evaluation - combined together, all can help create the right solutions.

Our clients have ranged from solo practitioners, local businesses, regional companies, statewide and national non-profits, and national business organizations. We've served corporate customers from family firms to national businesses. Our collaborators have taught us about institutions of higher education, television networks, state humanities councils and public school systems. Our communication and publication services include national and international publications and web sites.

Our island location enforces island values: learn, make do, redesign, import what works, and connect. Our history provides us with valuable information and we connect it with our present needs to enable future solutions. That's what islands do well. It's why they survive, even thrive, in challenging times. The Josias River Homestead associates can put these values in place for your organization, anywhere in the world from this island off the coast of Maine.

Solutions can come from anywhere in the world, including Gundell Cove, Vinalhaven, Maine.
